Team Today Update
Team Today feels that it is important that you, our supporters, are kept abreast of the progress and ideas of the Team Today compaign. We also incourage you to contact us with questions and comments. (Andrew Johnson - bode1978@yahoo.com, Pete Vordenberg - pvordenberg@ussa.org).

\r\nTeam Today is an admittedly very young project. However, we have gotten off to a roaring start and we're extremely pleased with our progress. We confidently feel that this project has the potential to have a huge positive impact on American skiing. Not just the very upper echelon of elite racing, either. Team Today will bring the youth and citizen racers of this country closer than ever to the US Ski Team, and provide tools and the necessary information for everyone to approach their skiing goals, whatever they may be, with the same knowledge and new ideas of America's Best.

\r\nOn the fundraising front we're doing well, considering the very minimal exposure we've had so far. Last weekend we received our first "Gold Level" contribution, and we're looking forward to continuing this progress as we further promote our ideas and projects. We're still finalizing our 501(c)3 status, but we will have a non-profit tax I.D. number available by the end of the year for donors. (If our application process is delayed longer than planned we have a "corporate sponsorship" agreement with another non-profit - www.thinkracing.org - so either way all donations are tax deductible).

\r\nIn July we are planning a massive sale of clothing items, gear, signed race bibs, and many other items as a fundraiser for Team Today. All these items will be lightly used USST issue items (suits, warm-ups, parkas, hats, etc.) as well as many Olympic and World Championship issued items. The sale will be conducted via on-line auction...Look for further updates and specific information in the future.
