Team Today will soon (in the next couple of days) begin posting actual training logs and training plans from all members of the US cross-country National and Development teams. Each week we will post at least two week-long segments of sample athletes' training logs. Each week we will also post those two athletes' training plans for the following week. \r\n \r\nIncluded with each training log and sample plan will be notes on specific workouts as well as that athlete's accomplished goals for the previous week and planned training goals for the following week. \r\n \r\nThis will be a great opportunity for Juniors, Seniors, and Masters alike to get a taste for what America's elite skiers are doing for training. You'll see that it's all pretty simple. There are no magic secrets when it comes to training, and you'll also be surprised by the amount of variety there is in training within the team. We have athletes like Torin Koos who is just coming off a college track season, Carl Swenson who's full swing into mountain biking season, as well as a whole host of athletes who are training solely for skiing from late April on. \r\n \r\nThese will be exclusive postings and they will provide detailed info on how all members of the USST train. We hope you enjoy! \r\n
\n Calculated risk-taking is a fundamental part of every successful athlete's training.
