Torin Koos currently ranked 30th.  Placing two skiers in the Red Group is a good accomplishment - congratulations to the entire staff and all the racers.

Kik Randall OL sprint tuck.jpg

Kikkan Randall - Even with her 9th at the games she is ranked 46th right now, but she only has a few WC races under her belt this year and she has two more WC sprints this season.  So she should move up in the rankings for next year.

C Cook OL sprint zorro.jpg

Chris Cook - also ranked in the mid-40s has a few more world cup sprints this season.  Here he is behind Zorzi who is ranked 11th.

Thoughts from the Olympics to come and a lot more from the remainder of the World Cup season which doesn't end until the end of March with the Pre-World's races in Japan.  Starting this season we only had money for 5 athletes up until the Olympics.  Now we have money to take 9 athletes through the Scandinavian world cups and two sprinters to China and two distance skiers to Japan.  That is progress - Many thanks Luke Bodensteiner and Alan Ashley and to the xc staff for pushing the issue.

Yesterday the coaches drove to Munich and this morning flew to Oslo where we are waiting for the athletes who are flying up from Torino later tonight.  The team for most of the rest of World Cup is Andy Newell, Torin Koos, Kikkan Randall, Kris Freeman, Chris Cook, Carl Swenson, Andrew Johnson, Lindsay Williams, and Dave Chamberlain (staff Trond Nystad, Vidar Loefshus, Roar Lillefjell and Pete Vordenberg with some help from a few others here and there).
