Here is the National Championship schedule

Jan 3    Women 15km, men 30km skate mass start.

Jan 5    Sprint

Jan 7            Women’s 10km, men 15km classical individual start.

Jan 8            Women’s 5km, men 10km skate individual start.

Jan 10            Women’s 20km, men 30km Pursuit.

This is the last shot for team selection for several events.  I highly recommend everyone – racers, parents, coaches, fans and supporters all visit www.ussa.org, cross country, selection and criteria… and make sure you understand every aspect of selection for World Jr. Champs, U23, J1 and Olympics.

Many of these championship teams will be based in part on the national ranking system.  The rankings can also be found at the ussa site, athlete ranking on the right side of the front page.  This will not be updated after each race – but will give you an idea where people stand as of now.

The comment section has become a concern.  We want to have a comment section and we want everyone to feel welcome to make comments and to offer criticism, analysis, and personal opinions. 

You do not have to donate to leave comments or to visit the site and there is no party line to stick to.  You should feel free to express your opinion, but you should do so tactfully.  You also do not have to use your name, but you probably should.  We hope we don’t have to get rid of the comment section or make it more difficult to post comments – but we may have to.

The main problem, in our view, is personal attacks.  Personal communications, questions, and criticism should be carried out in private – ideally face-to-face.
