15km pursuit
\n Rebecca on her way to first place. Huge snow flakes.
\r\n \r\n
\n Wendy has been feeling better and better as the week has gone on and is looking forward to Europe. I wish I could have taken more shots of the women's race, but waxing for the mens race was getting tight!
\r\n \r\nA great final day of nationals. The conditions played a big role in the race, but that is part of ski racing. Prior to the women's race it was raining - and had in fact rained all night. The course was changed to avoid some rotten snow, lakes and rivers. Waxing was a simple klister combination for wet, slushy snow... and then it started snowing. Flakes the size of maple leaves were falling and we changed to hairies (roughed up kick zone and no kick wax of any kind). \r\nRebecca had great skis and felt very strong in the classical portion of the race and never had to look back. \r\nWendy fought hard in the classic and skate to finish third. \r\nThings are looking up for the US women.
