USST Training

Here's a copy of Rebecca Dussault's training plan for last week. More training updates coming soon!

\r\nThis week: (some is already completed, some is still in the plan.)
\r\n
\r\nMonday:
\r\n
\r\n1:30 core/max strength session. This session was done mostly with med
\r\nballs and a few max exercises. It was a rare thing for me to have a
\r\nstrength partner, so we did mostly partner ball exercises. I also
\r\nwarmed
\r\nup and cooled down on the rollerboard since I forgot my tennis shoes.
\r\nOuch!
\r\n
\r\n

\r\nTuesday:
\r\n
\r\n1:00 Rollerski Skate with 10X10 sec race pace speed (speed at 5km race
\r\npace, no faster). Went up beautiful Taylor Canyon in the evening while
\r\nmy
\r\nhusband rode along on the road bike towing our child and taking
\r\npictures
\r\nof me for a local publication. Concentrated on engraining perfect
\r\ntechnique
\r\n
\r\nWorkouts in the plan for the rest of the week follow:

\r\nWednesday:
\r\n
\r\n1:00 core/max session in the gym. A little twist to Monday's routine.
\r\nWorking on speed, timing, and rythym.
\r\n2:00 Natural interval road ride with the men of the valley. Very
\r\nintense
\r\nworkout to stay with the peleton. This workout requires many little
\r\nbursts to keep contact and a lot of longer sustained intervals.
\r\n
\r\nThursday:
\r\n
\r\nOFF DAY.
\r\n
\r\nFriday:
\r\n
\r\n1:15 core/max in the gym. Aerobic warmup and cool down totaling :25
\r\nmin.
\r\nPlaning to actually take the time to stretch which I NEVER do.
\r\n
\r\nSaturday:
\r\n
\r\n:45 min run and spenst at 6:00 am before driving to Denver. I will get
\r\nmy
\r\nblood flowing before it pools in my legs while we drive.
\r\n
\r\nSunday:
\r\n
\r\nOFF DAY. A day of relaxation and fun at our family reunion. I will
\r\nhope
\r\nto get enough sleep over the weekend to feel rested when next week’s
\r\ntraining hits.
