I am very sorry to report that Paul Robbins has passed away.  I miss Paul Robbins right now.  After every race the phone would ring.  And if I couldn't get to it, it would ring again later and it would ring as many times as it took. 

"Coach Pete!  Coach Paul here!"

My phone hasn't rung all weekend. 

I had no idea how that was going to feel.

I first met Paul Robbins in 1992... hell with it... if you knew Paul you know how I feel.  The man cared about this sport, he cared about our team, he cared about each of the athletes and each of the staff.  He wanted us to do well, badly.  He did his job with a smile you could hear on over the phone.
